Bone Appétit mutt fans!
My name is Kat Thomas. My job is to create content. Stuff that will entertain you and stuff that you’ll hopefully want to tell your mates about.
So this is a blog dedicated to content – the good stuff I wish I’d thought of, and the shit stuff that I thank god I didn’t.

Nokia challenged us to launch their new N8 handset. So we challenged David LaChapelle to swing downunder, build one of his iconic sets and shoot every day Aussies with nothing more than this kick ass piece of smartphone kit. If you’re in the hood, pop down and get snapped by DLC himself - in Sydney on Wednesday or Melbourne on Saturday. More deets here. Say cheese y’all.
We’re helping the legends at 42BELOW bring Shaggy to town to celebrate his 42nd birthday down under. Why? Because we love a tenuous link almost as much as an excuse to drink the most delicious vodka on the planet. Find him on the streets of Sydney with Facebook, Foursquare or Twitter and he’ll hand you a double pass to his boombastic birthday bash at Good God next week. Sweet as. Get your Shaggy stalk on, lover lovers!
Lots of things make me happy. Two hi-top scorers would have to be sneakers and beer. Especially on a Friday. Here’s a unique happiness hybrid; the Reebok x Heineken Pump Omni Lite. You’d need a bit of bottle to wear ‘em, but hell.. you’d be pumped for beer o’clock.
Big fangs to the Beans for another bloody good effort for our clients Warner Home Video. To celebrate the launch of True Blood Series Two, we got our collective teeth stuck into the sponsorship of Saint Augustine Academy’s debut show at Fashion Week. A lot of brand collabs kinda suck. This one’s neck and neck with the best of em, I reckon. No coffin in the front row please..
Given the gargantuan Gordon Brown Gaff®, the entire world is now aware that the UK is in the grips of election fever. Always up for a cheeky tactical stunt, IKEA has announced their own domestic policy, creating three kitchen designs ‘inspired’ by the three main election contenders: The BRÜN, The KAMERUN and The KLEGGI. See them in their full Swedish glory here.
Brought to you by my old friends at Cake. Nice one boys.
Love a projection. Don’t love AC/DC, sorry Scots & Strayians. But, I reckon this is pretty nuts mun, even with the god awful soundtrack. In the trade, this is known as an ‘architectural projection mapping project’ and the backdrop is historic Rochester Castle, home to over a thousand years of ancient, barbaric atrocities. (Guess we’ve just gotta hope this effort isn’t added to the list in another thousand).
Last night One Green Bean was awarded the title of PR Agency of the Year at the AdNews Awards night. An impressive piece of silverware for an agency just two and a half years young to take home. Through my dusty, overhung, grin fatigued haze, I’d like to thank the Beans for all their hard graft, good humour and unfaltering commitment over the last 12 months. You truly are legends.
